It’s also a big deal for us here at Rainbow, so we thought we would show you a little of what goes on behind the scenes from the very moment that you place your order with us to the moment that your children’s eyes light up and they get to run wild on their new climbing frame!
From your very first phone call with us, our Rainbow Experts will do absolutely everything they can to help you find your perfect Rainbow Climbing Frame. We love to get to know you and your family, as well as which activities your children enjoy doing the most so we can pinpoint accessories and extras that will make your wooden play frame the ultimate boredom buster! Worried about the space available in your garden? No problem! Our team can come and take a look at your garden and discuss all of the possibilities with you (all COVID compliant of course!).
Once we’ve found your perfect play frame, your new order is booked on to our Customer Relationship Management system. It’s official! Our experts will then confirm an installation date with you and our Warehouse team then take over. The warehouse is where we keep your dream climbing frame safe, until it’s ready to be taken to its forever home! Firstly, the team generate a Pull Sheet, which breaks down the set into smaller product groups, so we can run a stock check and make sure we have everything we need to build your dream wooden climbing frame in the warehouse. A pick list is then created, which itemises every single piece of wood, nut, bolt and screw! Our Rainbow Experts will check in with you to make sure all is ready for your new wooden play framer to arrive in your garden. The day before we are due to install, the Warehouse team work like beavers, gathering all the parts by hand, or using their trusty fork lift truck to create a pallet or two of all the important components needed for your climbing frame. Loading up the van is a tricky job – a bit like a game of Tetris, making sure there is a space for everything – especially those huge slides!
Our warehouse is based in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, but we install solid wooden climbing frames for families all over the UK! If you are especially far from our warehouse, the Installation Team might set off as early as 6.00am to ensure they are on site as early as possible to allow enough time to fit a big build in. Our team will greet you, double check all the fine details of the set with you and then get unloading. A good few hours of build are underway before the thermos flasks and packets of sandwiches are allowed out of the van, for a very short break. Then it is back to making up rope ladders, building billy goat bridges, hanging swings, installing spiral slides, extended bubbles, crow’s nests, or adding the finishing touches such as the ships wheel and binoculars.
When the installers have finished building your amazing wooden climbing frame, the head installer will check in with you again to make sure everything is perfect! They will then clear the site and drive home, leaving behind just a few footprints as well as the beginnings of years and years’ worth of fun!
